This special, new offering is a Tokyo-based workshop for amateur and professional shooters alike. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together local and overseas photographers to create a supportive environment highlighting different cultural aesthetics and shooting styles while learning from the master himself, Greg Gorman. We will spend an intensive three days together focusing on classroom discussion, real world shooting situations, and working through different challenges. The discussion will continue over meals eaten together, and with street shooting in Tokyo in the evenings and nights, including a session shooting the notorious Halloween revelers in Central Tokyo.
This is not a studio-based lighting and portraiture class. We will be shooting some portraits, some street photography, some street portraits with natural light as well as portable, hand-held LED lights, etc. The goal is to be a well-rounded shooter capable of handling many situations.
