Welcome to Nobechi Creative’s Summer Online Exhibition

This virtual exhibition features the work of photographers who joined us for workshops in Japan from 2024 to 2025. Each image reflects a personal journey shaped by place, light, and the deep cultural resonance of Japan. The photographs presented here are more than visual records; they are stories born from attentive observation and creative intention. Guided by our dedicated instructors and supported by a close-knit community, participants developed bodies of work that range from the poetic to the documentary.

The selections you see here were personally curated by our dear friend and renowned photo-based artist, Kate Breakey. Kate enjoyed going through your photographs and making her selections. She has also selected two charities that are close to her heart: PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and CIWF (Compassion in World Farming), and in lieu of a curation fee, we will be making a donation of $150 to each of these charities on her behalf. You are welcome to join us in making additional donations as a thank you to Kate via these links.

We invite you to take your time, explore each image, and celebrate the spirit of connection that drives everything we do at Nobechi Creative, and we encourage you to visit us and take in the spirit of Japan in the not-too-distant future. With gratitude,

The Nobechi Creative team

It was an immensely satisfying experience to look at so many beautiful images of Japan. I  felt I was taken on a visual journey through this unique place from multiple perspectives,- each photographer experiencing different aspects of this intricate culture-   capturing its landscapes and people, the delicate light or the richness of the colors.  In general I was struck by how reverent and sensitive these images  are.   Thank you!

Nobechi Creative

また、彼女は自身の思い入れのある二つのチャリティ団体—PETA(動物の倫理的扱いを求める人々の会)とCIWF(Compassion in World Farming)—を選び、キュレーション料の代わりに、私たちからそれぞれに150ドルを寄付いたします。
